Greek Gyro Meat Ingredients

These gyro meat ingredients are very basic and simple to find at any grocery store:

  • Onion – ½ large red onion - chopped

  • Garlic – Fresh has the most potent flavor but jarred works for convenience.
  • Ground beef and lamb meat – The most common combo of this gyro meat recipe in the United States, is a blend of ground lamb and beef
  • ½ lb. ground lamb - the lower the fat content the better
  • ½ lb. ground beef - the lower the fat content the better
  • Dried herbs – We’re using a blend of oregano, marjoram, thyme, and rosemary.
  • Sea salt

Sandwich ingredients
